All of my choices had been stripped from me except for one.

Dance or die.

Three years ago, I was taken, stolen away, far from the world I knew, far from civilization. I became a slave, forced to serve one of the four families with my talent.

I’d been abused, battered, tortured in isolation. My Master brought me men, partners for performance, but they failed to live up to the high standard of dance my Master required.

Until one day, he brought me a new man. A blonde-haired, green-eyed, dreamy new man who had no idea what was coming.

It all started with the wrong Help Wanted ad. Of course it did.

I’m a professional fluffer. It’s NOT what you think. I stage homes for a living. Real estate agents love me, and my work stands on its own merits.

Sigh. Get your mind out of the gutter. Go ahead. Laugh. I’ll wait.

See? That’s the problem. My career has used the term “fluffer” for decades. I didn’t even know there was a more… lascivious definition of the term.

Until it was too late.

The ad for a “professional fluffer” on Craigslist seemed like divine intervention. My last unemployment check was in the bank. I was desperate. Rent was due. The ad said cash paid at the end of the day.

Now, she’s back…and looking nothing like the shy girl I remember.
Cavorting with anyone from the five families is strictly forbidden to someone like me. Author Bio:

Sybil Bartel grew up in Northern California with her head in a book and her feet in the sand. She dreamt of becoming a painter but the heady scent of libraries with their shelves full of books drew her into the world of storytelling. She loves the New Adult genre, but any story about a love so desperately wrong and impossibly beautiful makes her swoon.

Sybil now resides in Southern Florida and while she doesn’t get to read as much as she likes, she still buries her toes in the sand. If she isn’t writing or fighting to contain the banana plantation in her backyard, you can find her spending time with her handsomely tattooed husband, her brilliantly practical son and a mischievous miniature boxer…

But Seriously?

Here are ten things you probably really want to know about Sybil.

She grew up a faculty brat. She can swear like a sailor. She loves men in uniform. She hates being told what to do. She can do your taxes (but don’t ask). The Bird Market in Hong Kong freaks her out. Her favorite word is desperate…or dirty, or both—she can’t decide. She has a thing for muscle cars. But never reply on her for driving directions, ever. And she has a new book boyfriend every week—don’t tell her husband.

EXCERPT
When Cecilia walked into the living room, the first thing she noticed was that her father wasn’t there.  So maybe this wasn’t as bad as she thought.
“Josie tells me she hears you throw up every morning, yet you’re well enough to go to school.  That can only mean one thing.  So, tell me,” Rose said, pointing a finger close to Cecilia’s face, “who are you sleeping with?  The whole football team?”
Before Cecilia had a chance to answer, Josie said, “Oh, Mom, you’re so way off base.  She’s been sleeping with her nigger boyfriend.  Haven’t you, Sis?”  She smirked and nodded her head at Cecilia.  “Does he have a big thing like they say?”

Oh, how desperately she wanted to hide! Hide from her husband’s betrayals, hide from the blame and guilt heaped on her by her younger daughter’s refusal to accept the divorce, hide from the pity, the questions, the snarky innuendos from her “friends.” Most of all, hide from herself and her failures. Her family accepted her need to “find herself,” and this apartment in the south of France was perfect with its balcony and view of the sea and town. Low enough to be able to watch life happen below her, high enough to not participate in any of it. Now if only the gentle people of Cassis would let her do that.

My
 rating: 4 of 5 stars

First, I want to thank Zara Stoneley, One More Chapter and NetGalley for providing this book so I may bring you this review.

The First Date by Zara Stoneley is an incredibly cute and funny read that many can relate to. This book will make you smile and laugh out loud at times. Not to mention you may be able to relate to it at times.

I absolutely loved the front cover of The First Date. The cup of coffee with the heart foam was perfect! Loved the font layout and the colors as well. Kudos to the Graphic Designer on this cover.

There were so many aspects of this book I totally related to the main character. So much so I found myself cracking up laughing at the character! You have to love all the references to Tinder, online dating, not looking like your online profile pic, and shaving habits.

My fave part of the storyline where this guy wanted to give her pointers on how to go on first dates. Who does or says that in real life?!

If you are looking for a fun and comical read pick this one up.

Review: Until I Find You By Rea Frey #NetGalley

Until I Find YouUntil I Find You by Rea Frey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First, I want to thank Rea Frey, St. Martin’s Griffin and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Every Mother’s worst nightmare comes true in Until I Find You by Rea Frey! This is an incredible must read that pull on your heart strings, shock you, and question who you can really trust.

Rea dedicates this book to her daughter Sophia the brightest light she will ever see.

One major theme in this book I found is stick to your gut instinct and never give up! No matter if nobody believes you never give up!

Rea incredibly impressed me thinking outside the box and diagnosing her main character Rebecca with an eye disease that left her blind. Rea does an amazing job showing us not just telling how Rebecca navigates motherhood and everyday life. I am not a mother but I couldn’t imagine how challenging it would be being visually impared.

Besides Rebecca’s story there were other side stories going on as well. Many of them tied to Rebecca’s in one way or the other.

This is one book that will stay with you long after you are finished with it.
