Blake McCallister is a pastor who helps with church plants. He is finishing up with a church plant in Scottsdale, Arizona when he gets a call from an old friend. There’s a big need in the ministry at a church in his hometown of Lincoln City, Oregon. The only problem is it means running into his old girlfriend from high school--Taylor Garther. She knew a part of his past that not many did and seeing her again would be sure to stir up more than just old memories.
Chapin gives all credit for his writing and storytelling abilities to God. The majority of his stories take place in and around his hometown of Spokane Washington. Chapin & his wife reside in Southeast Idaho and have three children. When not writing, he enjoys traveling, swimming and spending time with friends & family.
First, I want to thank T.K. Chaplin for providing me with this book so I may bring you with this review.
T.K.Chapin is back again with another must read book that will pull on your heart strings and put a smile on your face. As always he intertwines faith and scripture into the storyline. With everything going on in this day in age we need that now more than ever.
T.K. Is great for writing realistic stories that people can relate to that is written from his heart. Plus, he puts his love of faith and scripture in it. This is what sets him apart from others in his genre.
There were many aspects of this book that I really enjoyed were the second chances, the discovery, the reunion as a family, and the career path that the two main characters took.
T.K. Was really passionate about the backstory of the two main characters and how it lead to the present day. I really felt compassion and empathy for all of those involved past and present.
It was a beautiful story that I feel that not only adults can relate to but some children could to as well due to the subject matter.
