Catch a killer or save a child. What would you do?

Suffering from blackouts and abandoned as a child by her father, Ruby Vasquez has been chasing that one scoop to make her an internet star. Living with an alcoholic mother who hates her, Ruby discovers a secret about the vigilante’s first victim, which puts her in the killer and DI Flowers’ sights.
Jen and Ruby have to overcome the secrets in their past while battling each other to discover the Hashtag Killer’s identity. Jen will have to choose between keeping her daughter safe or finding a killer, while Ruby will need to decide if becoming famous is more important than doing the right thing.

Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews
First, I want to thank A.S. French and Rachel’s Random Resources for providing me this book so I may bring you this review.
OMG!! WOW!! A.S. French impressed the heck out of me with his bold and blunt writing style in The Hashtag Killer. The storylines in this book were incredibly intense, fast paced, graphic, fascinating, mind boggling, thrilling, shocking, with many twists and turns.
The graphic designer for this cover art did a fantastic job capturing my attention with this mysterious cover! With a cover like this and the title I just needed to know what this book was about.
Instantly, A.S. Hooked me on Evan Ripley’s sick and very twisted mindset. A.S’s scenes with him were intense with the imagery bold which made it extremely exciting to read.
In today’s society we are all obsessed with all things social media on the internet. It could be used for good, bad and even the ugly. A.S.’s shows you not just tells you how this aspect plays out into his storylines. Ohh and it is sooo good!!!
There were times in this book that A.S. Made me chuckle with some of the character's comments or conversations.
OH how I was so angered by how Ruby’s father physically abused her mother badly!! What pissed me off more was that Ruby didn’t seem to care!!
Ruby’s role as the internet journalist fascinated me as she reported on Evan Ripley’s case. Ohh she found out some juicy dirt on him from the past. Not only did she report it but she added pictures to the mix.
There was an interview with Dr. Mal in The Hashtag Killer that was an incredibly interesting read. He was trying to get into Dr. Mal’s mind as Dr. Mal needed to get into him.
I loved that A.S. Included a lengthy blog post written by Ruby.
A.S. 's book is very powerful and brings up some very important issues, statistics and facts.
There were some scenes in the book that totally took me by surprise and shook me to the core!!
