Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews
First, I want to thank Dan Clark and Rachel’s Random Resources for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
Dan Clark’s The Boy In The Well totally caught me off guard in many ways. It was unlike any missing person book I have read in the past. It had intrigue, suspense, tragedy, funny tidbits that made me laugh, etc.
Immediately, Dan caught my attention with this book as tragedy struck Carolyn hard. I can’t fathom the emotional distraught had I been put into the same position she had. That scene and the prior one were written perfectly with the right suspense and emotions intertwined.
Carolyn was grieving over the loss of her son though she actually saw him. However, it turned out to be another boy. Oh that scene was a little gruesome.
I loved how Dan set the story in a small little town. People in small towns love to gossip and chit chat. This made the book all the more interesting.
There were some interesting characters in this book.
I loved how Carolyn took it upon herself to play Private Detective and find out what happened to the missing children. She found some very interesting things along the way.
