You can change your name. Change your life. But someone knows exactly who you are.
Twenty years ago, Mason Tucker was tried and convicted as the teenager who helped lure young boys to the serial killer known as the Pied Piper of Peasedale. After serving his twenty-year sentence, Mason is freed and hopes to remain invisible while he rebuilds his life as an adult, hoping to become a man he can be proud of. A new town, a new flat, a new job and a new purpose.
But living with secrets is challenging, and protecting his anonymity, the woman who stood beside him, and her child becomes impossible when the past pushes back. Hard. Within days of his release, Mason suspects he’s being stalked. He’s threatened and twice attacked. He never imagined being outside would be more dangerous than being in prison. The police aren’t an option. One headline will destroy him.
Someone wants him punished, not redeemed, and as danger closes in, you will never suspect where the next threat comes from.

First, I want to thank Heidi Field, Tule Publishing and Zooloo Book Tours for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

DANG!!! If you are not reading Heidi Field’s The Peasedale Woods Killer Series what are you waiting for?! Seriously, she has instantly become one of my favorite psychological thriller authors. Each book in the series has been better than the next. However, The Other Killer, the final book in the series, was Heidi’s best of the best. Heidi was able to answer a lot of questions us readers had from past books.

Croco Designs did a great job creating the cover for The Other Killer. It created that creep factor.

I highly suggest that if you have not read Heidi’s other two books in the series The Other Boy and The Other Mother that you do so. You will get a better idea of the characters and the backstory. If you read this one before reading the other two books you may be a little bit lost. Not to mention those storylines are so deep, dark and twisted!

So, If you read the other books in the series then you are in for a treat in The Other Killer! In this book we get the opportunity to meet Mason after he gets out of prison and see the man he has become. On the flip side Heidi takes us back to where it all first started and how he landed in prison. We also get to meet Gunner himself. This is the book the fans have been waiting for to hear his side of the story!

Heidi got a little spicy this time around with Mason and Gracie. Then again cooped up all those years with no female interaction yeah he deserved that night. Then again on the flip side mention he did get some male fun in prison. Only to later find out he was groomed by Gunner for that act as a kid. Which was a lot to take in.

One of the recurring themes in the book was second chances. Mason made a point in every situation to be a better man in every situation. Sometimes he succeeded and sometimes he could have done better.

Heidi had so many incredible twists and turns in this book that it was crazy!! Especially the intense climatic jaw dropping ending that left me speechless!! Never saw that one coming!! The Other Killer is another book to add to your growing TBR list!! This is a series people should be talking about because it is an amazing series by a truly talented author that has a gift in this genre!!

Under Her Care

Review By Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank Fiona Gartland and Bloodhound Books for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Under Her Care was just the Medical Thriller that I have a craving for and Fiona Gartland did not disappoint. Her book was fast paced, addicting, incredibly descriptive, detailed, fascinating if you love all things medical like I do!

OMG!! WOW!! Fiona’s prologue was incredibly intense!!!  I give phlebotomists a great deal of respect as they have a nerve wracking job! I know I am not an easy stick as I have terrible veins. Many times I am treated like a pin cushion poked multiple times just to find one vein.

I loved how before each chapter Fiona would quote St. Francis Xavier’s Nursing Code of Professional Ethics. Each quote pertained to the upcoming theme of the chapter.

There was one storyline that I loved regarding a patient giving Beth concert tickets to see Taylor Swift!! My first thought was WOW what an incredibly thoughtful and generous gift!! Any Swifie would have loved to have gotten a free ticket to the show!! However, her boss had other ideas for the tickets!! Ohh I would have been livid!!!

Not going to lie there were elements to the story that was emotionally hard for me to read but I got through it. This lead up the to a very eye opening shocking reveal at the end!! One that was even more hard to swallow than before!! This is a book that will have people talking!

She doesn't run from blood. She leaves it behind.

Henry is exactly where he wants to be. After his debut novel is an immediate success, dating is the last thing on his mind. That is until he meets Rebecca. It doesn’t take long for either of them to fall in love and start a relationship. But as he gets to know his new girlfriend, something seems off about her, almost as if she’s hiding something. But what?

Meanwhile, after an incident that left her husband dead, Natalie arrives in town to start a new life, and that includes a new name. Wanting to blend in, Natalie keeps her head down, not wanting to get to know anyone. But shortly after she settles in, she meets a man. While things start off well, Natalie struggles with certain urges. Urges that she feels that, if her new boyfriend isn’t careful, she might just act on them again.

It’s not always easy to really get to know somebody. Sometimes people find out about them too soon. Other times, they find out too late.

Black Widow is a gripping psychological thriller with multiple twists you won't see coming. A perfect read for fans of Gone Girl, Love, Mom, Freida McFadden, and Kiersten Modglin.

Justin Campana has been reading and writing since elementary school. When he found out he could share his stories, the rest became history. When not writing, he could be found reading the latest thriller, hanging out with friends, or enjoying both old and new (and good and bad) horror movies. He lives in New Jersey with his family.

Black Widow

Written By Justin Campana

Review By Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I need to thank Justin Campana for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review!

5 Star Read for Black Widow by Justin Campana! I have been dying to read one of his books since I found out he was an author. Knowing he is a huge fan of Kiersten Modglin and psychological thrillers like myself I knew this book was a must read! In fact, it totally exceeded my expectations that I cancelled plans just to see how the book ended!! But now we need a sequal!!!

I appreciated how Justin was upfront and mindful to his readers about the trigger warnings. Many authors don’t take the time to do that. So, I thank you for doing that Justin.

Black Widow is a totally creatively different written outside of the box psychological thriller that is new and fresh that has never been done before. Because of all of those reasons I loved it!!! Another reason I loved it is he made some of the scenarios relatable! Let’s be honest many of us women and men out there are attracted to a Dad bod and not hard bodies! And not every date’s house you go to is going to be perfectly clean (am I right?).

I started to wonder if Justin’s favorite color was green because he dressed multiple female characters in that color.

Out of all the storyline’s in the book, I really enjoyed Henry and Rebecca's most. Their relationship was so unpredictable with so many mysteries around it. I totally questioned how she went from vanilla sex to wild sex that threw me and Henry for a loop!!! But the climatic ending with them omg I never ever saw coming!!!

There was another storyline in the book about Natalie and Liam. I liked the storyline too. I loved how the two intertwined at the end. I am hoping for another book to continue with this book. In any case I would gladly read and review for Justin again. He has incredible talent writing in this genre!

I Know What I Saw

Written By NJ Cracknell

Review by Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank NJ Cracknell and Bloodhound Books for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

WOWZERS!!! NJ Cracknell took us on a wild rollercoaster ride of emotions trying to find out what actually happened to Maya’s sister Beth in I Know What I Saw. This storyline was written creatively outside of the box from the other psychological thrillers out there. It is gripping, fast paced, addicting, binge readable, suspenseful, mysterious, has shock value, and heart ache as well. I would suggest it for your tbr pile.

After reading I Know What You Saw about Maya and Beth I had to call my sister and tell her how much she meant to me! Stories like this pull on my heart strings! Throughout the book when Maya kept getting messages from Beth I was praying they were actually from her. In fact, I could not put this book down until I knew what was actually going on with Beth!! There were so many twists, turns, deep secrets and jaw dropping revelations.

Like Maya I too get anxiety attacks and I appreciated learning about the mindfulness of making tea and how it can help relax your breathing. I do like tea so I will have to try this technique next time I make some. Thanks NJ.

I chuckled that Beth kept a checklist of qualities of men when she started dating someone. They had to have their own place, their own car, no psycho exes, and no kids. Hair. Be close with their mum.

The climax of I Know What I Saw was intense and building up to the shocking revelations that I didn’t see coming! It was good!!
