Pointe of Passion by Annalie Walker
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
First, I would like to thank Annie Walker for a providing me with this book so I could bring you this review.
Pointe of Passion by Annalie Walker is the first book in her series Dancing Desires. Rhythm and Rapture is the second book in the series. I plan on reading that one as well.
“What could be more important than spending time with me?” Wow, the prologue clutched my heart. No child at that age should hear their parents fighting period. I just wanted to hold her and tell her it would be ok.
Mia had always had a passion for Dance. She knew after her first recital that she just had to be a Ballerina. For years she studied and practiced diligently to make the complicated steps look easy. Hard work eventually paid off because she was now a principal ballerina with the New York Ballet Company.
I was so disappointed for Mia when the doctors told her “I am sorry Mia, your professional career is over.” All those years of putting her heart and soul into being the best ballerina she could be was just a memory.
I absolutely adored the idea Mia and her BFF moving back home to open up their own dance studio. What an amazing opportunity for Mia to mold the young girls into great dancers.
Jaxson is my new book boyfriend! He had the looks, the warm caring heart, the charm, and an adorable little girl Sophie. He went through a lot with his ex wife Lexi when they were together. She would rather go out and get drunk than spend time with her family. That was very upsetting to me. Sophie needed her Mommy and she was not there for her. I was not her biggest fan-but I wouldn't wish what happened to her to anyone.
Annalie’s sex scene between Mia and Jaxson was written very tastefully.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and will be reading Rhythm and Rapture as well.
