Review: Pumpkin Kitties By J.L. Humphreys Illustrated By Kirsten Girlinghouse #ChildrensBook

Pumpkins Kitties is an adorable story about the relationship between a little girl and her pet kittens.

When Pumpkins Daddy brings home two cute cuddly kitties she is delighted and starts to play with them like toy dolls. As you can imagine, Pumpkins kitties dont like being treated like toys and begin running away and hiding. After Pumpkin discovers she cant make her kitties play with her, she learns a lesson shell never forget.

J.L.Humphreys is the author of the picture books, Pumpkin's Kitties, Super Sweet Pea, and Chocolate Cake for Breakfast. Humphreys was a wife, mom, and teacher before she began writing books for children. She grew up in a suburb outside of Los Angeles. Humphreys was a shy child who enjoyed living in a house full of energy. The fourth born out of five children, with a father that worked long hours, a mom that babysat the neighborhood kids, and too many pets to count, made for a house overflowing with life and some chaos. She credits her imagination, ambition and willingness to take risks on her childhood experiences. Humphreys is delighted that she has a job that allows her to teach children to use their imagination and dream big.

Humphreys went to college at Point Loma Nazarene University, and lives in California with her husband, daughters, dog, and cat. Besides writing, reading, and teaching she is enthusiastic about the outdoors. She enjoys vacationing with her family, swimming, and getting her hands dirty. Because life is an adventure, Humphreys continues learning and growing. Currently, she is learning how to knit. Her favorite ice-cream is mint-n-chip, her favorite color is blue, and her favorite animal is an elephant.
