This summer I made a bold move and came out! In doing so I wanted to read more Sapphic Novels and books that had more Lesbian characters. Someone highly suggested Experienced by Kate Young as one of the many that I read (yes, now I have a new TBR list). Instantly I absolutely fell in love with it and devoured it in one sitting!! It was so elegantly brilliantly written and more tastefully done than any straight romance books. Kate will open your eyes and heart that there is someone out there for everyone, she will make you smile, sometimes laugh out loud, maybe shed a tear here and there. 

As I stated earlier I was immediately drawn to this storyline within the first page!! Already I was fuming at the one character Mei who wanted to give Betta space! My first thought was this a Ross and Rachel storyline from Friends just with a queer couple! I totally felt bad for Bette who was totally blind sighted by this!!

I was totally cracking up laughing when her friends signed her up for all the dating sites!! I know first hand how horrid they can be having been on them in the past. What I liked is that Kate included the chats between Bette and her dates. 

Throughout this book Bette learned a lot not only about herself but what she wanted in a partner. I now understand why it was highly suggested and would love to read more of her books.

First, I want to thank Sam Vickery, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review. 

Oh how I am such a huge fan of Sam Vickery’s books!! Each one of them touches me in a way and pulls on my heart strings. When I heard she had just written The Child at the Party I knew I had to be on her blog tour for it! I’m so glad I did because it was so good! 

The Bookouture Graphic Artists continue to impress me with their creative covers! This one was beautiful for The Child at the Party. 

The introduction to the character of Billie was one of my favorite storyline. It was one of those outside of the box kind of storylines. 

I was not expecting any spicy scenes from this book so of course that forbidden love scene happening threw me off guard.

Overall it is a great read and should be put on your tbr list!

Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of those books that instantly pulls hard on your heart strings. This is literally a book I started on a Saturday afternoon and literally lost track of time and finished in one sitting. Forever, Interrupted was an engaging and addicting story that must be put on your TBR list. 

Oh the tears that started to well up as I felt like a fly in the air watching a tragic scene unfold. My heart ached for newlywed Elise who had just lost her Ben! Knowing the pain of losing someone I could totally feel her pain. 

With Forever, Interrupted Taylor takes us back in time to when Ben and Elise met, their proposal, and their actual wedding day. We were able to get to know Ben through stories. 

Taylor Jenkins Reid deals with loss of a spouse, grief, dealing with their family, handling arrangements, and cope with the loss. All not easy things to deal with. However, she does a beautiful writing this story. 

I loved that Elise was a librarian and met a lot of nice people there with interesting stories to share. One of the many friends that she had there was Mr. George Callahan. I enjoyed reading about him. 

Forever, Interrupted would be a great book for a book club pick as in the back they have book discussion topics.

First, I want to thank Sheila Norton, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review! 

Sheila Norton has a way of touching my heart with her books either through her storylines or the characters themselves. In What Kind of Mother she went outside of the box with her storytelling to throw a different twist on a missing person’s case that will pull hard on your heart strings-big time! 

I absolutely loved how she was able to combine my two fave genre’s into one and keep me entertained throughout the whole book! In my eyes it is one of her best! 

Instantly, Sheila engulfed my attention within the first few sentences in her prologue that starts out 13 months earlier to when the story begins. An empathetic person I am, I was instantly worried about what was going on with this person whom I was reading about-not that I knew who she was. She seemed so scared and waves of panic were hitting her and I was scared for her and needed to know why!! Where was she? Why couldn’t she remember where she was? Plus, who was this random strange guy that was there with her?? What really happened to her to make her got into this state of confusion? I just had to keep reading to find out!! WOW what a way to start out a book!!

Sheila jumps from one juicy story to the next one that I found fascinating with a little bit of a twist to it. She brings you a long awaited Mother/ Daughter reunion that has been way over due. For you can just imagine the emotional overload that had to be seeing your four years old. How would you react to the news she was back??
