The nightmare she’s running from is nothing compared to where she’s headed.
Tegan is eight months pregnant, alone, and desperately wants to put her crumbling life in the rearview mirror. So she hits the road, planning to stay with her brother until she can figure out her next move. But she doesn’t realize she’s heading straight into a blizzard.
She never arrives at her destination.
Stranded in rural Maine with a dead car and broken ankle, Tegan worries she’s made a terrible mistake. Then a miracle occurs: she is rescued by a couple who offers her a room in their warm cabin until the snow clears.
But something isn’t right. Tegan believed she was waiting out the storm, but as time ticks by, she comes to realize she is in grave danger. This safe haven isn’t what she thought it was, and staying here may have been her most deadly mistake yet.
And now she must do whatever it takes to save herself—and her unborn child.

The Crash
Written By Freida McFadden
Reviewed By Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews
Many of my friends have been raving about how good Frieda McFadden’s The Crash is so you know I had to find out for myself. Plus, I have been meaning to read more of hers since I fell absolutely in love with The Teacher. Well, my friends were spot on with how amazing of a read it was! It was fast paced, addicting, suspenseful, twisted, heartbreaking at times, jaw dropping twists and turns, etc. You must put this on your tbr list and put it to the top.
Frieda addressed some very serious subjects that could be triggering to a reader such as rape and child being conceived by rape. Many times I wish authors would include that in the beginning to let the reader know what they were getting into prior to reading the book. I am mindful of the readers that read my reviews and will always give you a heads up with these types of things.
I thought it was comical how Teagan was so obsessed with tuna fish that she nicknamed her baby growing in her tuna. Ironically I was laughing as I was making tuna salad as I was reading this book.
Jackson’s character I had a sweet spot for and liked him from beginning to end.
Simon was my least favorite person throughout the book!! He made me mad on so many occasions!!
In my opinion this read like two books intertwined into one because there was a big major event that happened and a whole new storyline took place and we didn't hear about Simon or Jackson until the very end of the book.
Even though I was enjoying the story I felt the Polly story was dragging on too long and she kept repeating herself. Her character was kind of getting on my nerves at the end of the book.
Oh but I was screaming at my kindle when Polly wanted to give Teagan Dolatted for the pain!! Hello, she is pregnant! She can’t take that, are you crazy lady!!
I loved the multiple points of view from each character.
Sadie pulled on my heartstrings out of all the characters. She was such a sweet girl who wasn't being treated right at home.
