Anne Marie’s life isn’t easy. She’s a single mom in a dead-end waitressing job with a beater car and bills to pay. Adding to the pressure, her teenage son, Dave, is out of control, and no matter what she does, Anne Marie can’t seem to get through to him.

WOW!! Emily Shiner is on a roll this year! With each book she continues to stun me with her storytelling skills. This time around she asks how far are you willing to go for your child?! Seriously, this book left me stunned and speechless with all the wicked twists and turns.
The graphic designers must have been craving a sundae when they came up with The Waitress cover! Well it worked because I now need one! Seriously though, it is a beautiful cover!
WOW!! My jaw dropped in shock as I could not believe what I was reading!! She made me feel like I was a fly on the wall during this scene! It was this scene that had me hooked on this fast paced addicting book! Where oh where does she come up with these storylines! My heart was beating outside of my chest with some of the shocking scenes.
What I thought was the craziest is with everything going on it actually brought the son and mother closer together and not further apart.
