WHEN DID YOU FIRST KNOW YOU WANTED TO BE A WRITER?
It sounds cliche to say always, but it's the truth. I've always known I wanted to be a writer. Actually, I've always been a writer, even when I wasn't published yet. I wrote my first two novels in fourth grade (a series called The Life and Times of the Three Potatoes) and, as a kid, I was always writing novels, short stories, and poems. In high school, I would bring my new books (in the form of stacks of printer paper) to school and keep a list of the friends and teachers who wanted to read them. I had so much support from an early age and that really encouraged me to believe I could do this. Writing is my favorite thing to do -- always has been. There was never a moment where my hopes, dreams, and future plans didn't hinge on me becoming a novelist.
WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE AUTHORS?
This is such a tough question because I have so many. I have to say Jodi Picoult, Mark Edwards, Minka Kent, Gillian Flynn, Jess Ryder, BA Paris, SJ Watson, Sue Watson, Rachel Hawkins, and Ruth Ware are some of my favorites and the authors whose books I buy without even reading the blurb.
WHERE DOES YOUR INSPIRATION COME FROM?
This answer is different depending on which book we're talking about, but the short answer is that my inspiration comes from all over. I've had the initial spark for my stories come from a book I've loved, movie I've watched, song I've listened to, conversation I've overheard, vacation I've taken, an even just a random, what-if question that popped into my head.
Once I have that inspiration, I let that idea sit in my head for a while, play with a few possibilities, get to know the characters who would best tell the story, and go from there. My mind never really rests. I'm always plotting and searching for inspiration. I'm very grateful that my inspiration-well never seems to run dry.
WHAT HOBBIES DO YOU HAVE WHEN YOU AREN'T WRITING?
Hobbies? What are those?! I'm only kidding...sort of. I have a toddler, a husband, two crazy dogs, and I write full-time. So writing really does take up most of my time that's not dedicated to family. When I can squeeze an extra few minutes in, I love to curl up with a good book or watch Netflix.
OF ALL YOUR BOOKS, WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE?
This is one of the hardest questions for me to answer. I love each of my books for different reasons, and picking a favorite would be like picking a favorite child. For each book, I spend a great amount of time in that world, with those characters, just trying to craft the best story I can. With each new book, I usually feel like it's my favorite for a while... At least until I begin writing my next one. So, the short answer is: all of them. And the better question is: which is YOUR favorite?

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! Just when I thought Ainsley’s and Peter’s story couldn’t get anymore twisted Kiersten writes a sequel to The Arrangement!! O.M.G!! The Amendment shows us a completely deeper, darker, and creepier side of Peter than we had seen before. He was like day and night from each book just so creepy-but oh so good!!! Again this is a 5 star must add to your tbr list!!
Kiersten would like to dedicate this book to all the fans who trusted her to tell the last crazy story-and then begged for another.
The Amendment is one of those books you must read with The Arrangement or you will be lost. Trust me this can’t be read as a stand alone! You will want to read The Arrangement to get the backstory before you read this one. You will thank me as that one is a 5 star must read as well!
Ohh. This. Book. Was. GOOD!! Kiersten showed a deeper side of the characters in this book. We got a better understanding of where their heads were at. Oh some of these characters were messed up!! This book was intense, creepy at times, nail biting, and quite powerful!
I think one of my biggest pet peeves in this book was all the lying Peter was doing to Ainsley! It frustrated me beyond belief how much he was hurting her.
Kiersten addresses some very important but troubling topics that might trigger some of her readers.
I was laughing like crazy at the conversations Ainsley’s Mom was having regarding her Grandson. I felt like a fly on the wall with that one!! I was rolling my eyes with Ainsley on that one.
If you have read Kiersten’s books you know she is the queen of shocking endings. This book is no exception. However, I found it quite comical.
