BLURB

Where do the disappeared go?

The girls and women who vanish, seldom to resurface.

Allen Kimbo, a freelance reporter, believes there is a network of men who guard their "taken" and keep the silence that surrounds such deeds.

An email lures him to Eastern Europe, to a meeting of the Takers and Keepers.

His girlfriend, Emily, pleads with him not to go.

In Belgrade more is revealed than he had thought possible.

Back at home, Emily is missing.

Heidi Lynn’s  Book Reviews

First, I want to thank Ian Pope, Hookline Books and Random Things Tours for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Ivan Pope’s The Takers and Keepers is unlike any missing person case book I ever read prior! If you follow my reviews you know that I am all for a good abduction story!

This book is for all those kept in the darkness and those who believe they can never escape.

Allen, his career choice and his storyline I found incredibly fascinating. He is one of the main reasons I was so hooked on the storyline.  Allen was a writer who wrote about abductees, the missing, the lost, and prisoners who disappeared from this world. I loved hearing all about how he got started in the business to where he was now. He had an interesting story to tell

Emily, his girlfriend who was a teacher of children didn’t care for his line of work. She cracked me up when she mentioned Osama bin Laden was hiding in a cave somewhere.

Another storyline that really interested Allen was offered to write a book about a girl by the name of Jennifer who went missing when she was 12. That storyline boggled my mind as a lot of things just didn’t add up to me on her end. It was a hot story to tell as everyone was interested in her case.

Even though I loved Jennifer’s storyline I didn't care for her character.

There was a dynamic climatic twist that happened that affected someone Allen loved deeply.
