Review by
Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews.
First, I want to thank T.K. Chapin for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.
When Broken Roads Leads Home is TK Chapin’s latest book that actually combines two of his previous books. They were The Start of Us and The Tender Years. I reviewed each of the books individually when they first came out. So, here you will see the two reviews for this one new book.
Add The Start of Us to another one of my favorite books written by T.K. Chapin. Hands down a must read if you are a fan of his or newbie to his books.
As like all of his books he dedicates this book to his loving wife. She is his muse and his inspiration. She is a wonderful wife, an amazing mother, and the best person he has ever met. She has always stood by him with every decision he has made along life’s way. They are truly blessed to have one another. My hope one day is to find what they have.
I appreciated that he acknowledged and thanked his early readers for helping him along the way.
In every story there is one main story with spin off stories. This main story that I was most interested in was Natalie and Jake’s story. You had them in the present day. But to really learn about them and T.K. took you back and explained their back story. It was the backstory that really hooked me. Each one is totally different. However, each one had heartache for one reason or another . Bring them to modern day as to what made them act the way they did.
Like any book of T.K.’s he does throw some faith in god at important moments of the book. There is reading from the bible and some scripture mentioned.
Reading this book, you can tell how important family is to T.K. as it comes out in the father son and daughter grand father scenes. One of those books you will want to call them if they are still with us.
Wow! T.K Chapin’s The Tender Years is incredibly emotionally powerful. You can’t help feel for Natalie and Jacob and what they have gone through.
This book deals with some very important subjects as infertility, foster care and what a family the effect it as on the family. It is a book unlike any he has written before. However, with all T.K. book he does stay true to his faith base.
If you follow T.K.’s books like I do you will remember Charlie and Serenah. They both make an appearance in this book with their daughter who is growing up so fast!
Throughout this book you can tell that this book is extremely passionate to T.K.
