Author Bio
C L Tustin was born and raised in the East Midlands but spent her teenage years in Sydney, Australia. She has sung twice at the Sydney Opera House and also appeared singing live on Australian national television. Returning to the UK in 1989 via Singapore and the Middle East the travel bug has never left her and she has explored countries and cities across the world.
C L Tustin began writing at the age of 11 when she didn’t see why James Bond had to be a man and created a spy code named The Cat with 10 planned adventures. Her first published novel “Escaping from the Shadows” is a romance with an undertone of threat set in the social media free world of 1990. She is currently working on editing and completing her second romance “Desert Rose” whilst writing a brand newstory “Flower of Death”. Future projects already planned include two Regency romances and a sci-fi thriller.
Whilst raising her son C L Tustin continued to balance writing and work with completing a BSc(Hons) in Science and a MSc(Merit) in Earth Science with the Open University. This was a most rewarding experience despite the long hours and hard work involved.
C L Tustin has worked for two major banks, a tool company, the MOD and the NHS. She has completed 3 Thames Bridges walking challenges for charity, volunteers for Butterfly Conservation and passionately supports rescue dogs. C L Tustin lives currently with her rescued 15 year old Jack Russell Terrier and a diverse collection of books and sci-fi memorabilia.

First, I want to thank C.L. Tustin and Rachel’s Random Resources for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
WOW!! Reading Escaping From The Shadows by C.L. Tustin I felt like I was watching a soap opera in my mind! Oh the drama that unfolded in this book was just too much! I felt myself shaking my head at some of these characters! It was too funny at times!
Creative Covers did a beautiful job on the cover! The colors in the background were so pretty next to the black silhouette of the female form.
Anastasia had a hole in her heart that could only be filled by one man. A man for many years she seeked love from but wouldn’t return it.
Escaping From The Shadows is full of drama, jealousy, cheating, sibling rivalry, ex reunions, drunkenness, shocking hookups, etc.
If you are a fan of music like I am then you will love this book. Many of the characters are in the music business.
This is yet another book that reminded me it is better to be single than with a man! Some of these men in the book acted appalling after being rejected by the ones they wanted to be with. I kept shaking my head! Bryan pissed me off the most by this fact!
C.L. Tustin picked the coolest names for her characters that I totally adored. Some of them were Piers, Anastasia, Natalia, Fanella.
Right from the start C.L. Pulled on my heartstrings traumatic and heartbreaking prologue of the loss of Anastasia’s Mom on Christmas Eve.
One of the things I loved about the book was that at Fanella’s house she had horses. Anastasia loved to ride them and was pretty good at it too.
