Newly appointed Sheriff J.C. Nash has more on his plate than investigating a mysterious fire that’s destroyed End of the Line’s beloved library. Olivia Evans, the girl he helped save from criminal mischief charges back in high school even as she crushed his heart is all grown up and back in town. Worse than the sparks that still fly between them is J.C.’s fear that they will ignite a passion he won’t be able to walk away from--like she did to him, all those years ago.
Olivia once believed if she kept moving fast enough, her family’s dark secrets wouldn’t catch up to her. But when she comes back home to End of the Line to care for her ailing mother, she’s forced to face her painful past and face the man—now sheriff—she ran from all those years ago. Unexpectedly, the town and its people begin to creep back into Olivia’s heart, giving her the sense of belonging she’s longed for. But when things start to heat up between her and the sexy sheriff, how can she convince him to trust that she won’t leave again?

Review by Heidi Lynn's Book Reviews
First, I want to thank Amanda McIntryre for providing me
with this book so I may bring you this review.
Mr. December A Last Hope Ranch Novel by Amanda McIntryre is
a book for all of you who believe in second chances at love.
Immediately, I was drawn to this beautiful cover with the
hunk on it. Not to mention the title and the lettering caught my eye as well. Put
it all together and it was a full package for me. So, kudos to the graphic
designer on this one. Plus, having read Amanda’s work before I knew I liked her
style of writing and genre. So, I just had to read her book.
This book is dedicated to Kristi, Patti, Jennifer, to her
supportive husband and family and to the many reader fans who believe like Amanda
does that love will find a way.
My heart was totally broken in a million pieces for the loss
that the community of End of the Line suffered. Their library with special
memories for their characters that made them who they are today burned down. Amanda did an amazing job pulling out the
emotions out in the characters of the tragedy of what they truly lost-and how
it also would affect the kids. Being a huge fan of books, reading, and the
library I just wanted to reach in and do anything I could to help out.
Another thing I loved about the book was the cute small-town
vibe. How there were generations of generations of family living in the town
where everyone knew eachother.
I found it very fascinating that Olivia was a photographer
for travel magazines and freelance for National Geographic. Many authors don’t pick
those types of careers for their characters. I was impressed by Amanda’s choice.
