The young woman’s body is lying with her arms stretched out to each side. Her lips slightly parted. Her face untouched by injury and her hair spread around her head like a fan. A redhead. Just like the others.

(The Four Families, #1)

Publication date: May 31st 2020

Genres: Adult, Dark Romance, Romance

All of my choices had been stripped from me except for one. Dance or die.

Three years ago, I was taken, stolen away, far from the world I knew, far from civilization. I became a slave, forced to serve one of the four families with my talent.
I’d been abused, battered, tortured in isolation. My Master brought me men, partners for performance, but they failed to live up to the high standard of dance my Master required.
Until one day, he brought me a new man. A blonde-haired, green-eyed, dreamy new man who had no idea what was coming.
The men before him had disappeared. I presumed they were dead. I couldn’t afford myself the luxury of hoping they’d made it out alive because that would give me hope that I might someday do the same.
Hope was a dangerous thing and this new man’s spirit still thrummed with that electric spark of lightness. I would be the woman to strip that hope from him piece by tiny piece until he had none left. Only then could I control him, use him. Only then could I even consider the possibility of a predictable, complacent survival in this nightmare life.
And until that time came, I would make the only choice I was given the liberty of making.
Dance or die.

CONTENT WARNING: This book contains explicit sexual content, violence, and mature themes including scenes where consent is not sought or given. Book Review: Take My Hand: An Inspirational Memoir By Kerry Fisher and Pat Sowa #Thread

In this heartfelt, brave and honest account, Kerry Fisher and Pat Sowa share everything they’ve learnt from surviving the darkest of times. They shine a light on what it really feels like when your world shatters and how they found hope in the deepest despair.

Best friends since they met at university, Kerry and Pat had no idea that thirty years later, they’d need every ounce of their friendship to survive. In 2017, their worlds came crashing down when their teenage sons were both diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses within weeks of each other.

During the following rollercoaster months, Kerry and Pat regularly snatched time to message each other – often with black humour – providing a momentary refuge from their frightening realities. Together these two ordinary mums found a way to survive their extraordinary challenges and to navigate a new normal in an alien and isolating world. With raw honesty, they share the things they’ve learnt and what they wish they’d known – from how to tame raging mother guilt to restoring their natural optimism in the aftershock of tragedy.

In this profoundly moving book, Kerry and Pat take readers on a very personal exploration of the universal experiences of grief and loss, love and friendship that connect us all. Like a wise companion offering comfort, Take My Hand is a lifeline both to those overwhelmed by heartbreak and for friends and family who don’t know how to help. Most of all, it’s a powerful reminder that no matter how difficult life gets, you are not alone.

(Little Fall, #1)

The small town I ran away from. The Navy SEAL I’m supposed to hate. If I can get through this summer without falling for the off-limits alpha, I’ll consider myself lucky.

Steamy, intense chemistry … is just one of the things I shouldn’t be feeling for Luke Nelson, soldier turned security agency operative. His brother and I were high school sweethearts, but he broke my heart. Plus, our families hate each other, à la the Hatfields and the McCoys.
I return to Little Fall, Maine, to care for my sick mom. He returns to fulfil his brother’s last wish of reopening their mother’s roller rink. I spent half my childhood at Family Roller … but never with him.
He was the older bad boy. I was the girl next door. Love was never an option. But now we can’t stop making eyes at each other.
As I reunite with old family and friends, I learn that Little Fall has just as many secrets as my heart. And even if I’m supposed to say no, my intrigue for dreamy, handsome, rugged Luke Nelson is off the charts.
It turns out I might have a second chance after all … even if it’s with my ex-boyfriend’s big brother.

This full-length romance has a happily-ever-after and can be read as a full standalone. It is free with Kindle Unlimited.

Subsequent books in the Little Fall series cover different heroes and heroines … though your favorite characters will make appearances.

The book is a throwback to the classic 90s whodunnit slasher movies. I wrote this book for slasher fans. Eleonora – Ellie or Nora or Leo, depending on who’s calling her name at the moment – has the exact life she wants. No really, she does. She couldn’t be happier with her job at the bar she owns with her best friend or her fantastic sex life with her boyfriend, Lucas. Or…with her girlfriend Theo. Hey, she never said it wasn’t complicated, just that she couldn’t picture it any other way.
And, that’s not to say that Ellie doesn’t have struggles. Being proudly bisexual and openly polyamarouns, she knows what it’s like to be judged, to be written off immediately by a lot of people. She’s used to it, though. So when Quincy walks into her bar – and then into her bed – she expects just that, a judgment and a fast goodbye. But somehow this gorgeous woman takes Ellie as she is, with all the baggage. And Quincy even wants more.
But Ellie isn’t sure she has the time for more, for another set of feelings to consider. There are only so many hours in a day. Plus, she’s not the only one who has opinions about Quincy. Lucas understands, he’s always been the easygoing one. But Theo is pissed, and her jealousy flames higher and higher, threatening to burn Ellie’s whole life down with it. And she does have a point, she’s known Ellie a hell of a lot longer. So who is Quincy to walk in and take away more time from Theo and Lucas when their schedule had been working so well?
Who is Quincy to Ellie, and is she worth risking everything for? Because that’s just it. If Ellie can’t find a balance, find a way to juggle it all and keep everyone happy, then taking the risk could cost her the loves of her life.
*Content Warning: sex and lots of it – of both the hetero and queer variety, and language*

If you like erotic romances, diverse and strong-willed characters then Chasing Risks might be your next favorite book. It represents the bisexual babes and polyamorous peeps, with a few laughs and some serious swoons. It’ll keep you up way too late, reading just one more chapter all night.

Van Birch: Pop Star. A-list starlet. Off-limits.
Clay Noble has spent the better part of a decade avoiding his taboo obsession: His stepsister Van. Now that he’s lost everything in a tornado, he’s forced to move back in with the only family he has left, Van and her dad. Sleeping down the hall from her is forcing every unwanted impulse back to the surface.
Clay Noble: Gorgeous. Infuriating. Untouchable.
Everything Van touches turns to gold with a side of outrageous. But there’s another reason for her sleepless nights and fevered dreams. Clay is back, hotter than ever, and his lingering glances and stolen moments have her convinced the feelings she’s fought for so long may not be one sided after all.
******
The Van Birch Incident marries forbidden romance, bordering on taboo with a little danger and a guaranteed happily ever after, while exploring how social media and real life collide in a post #metoo world where the internet never sleeps.
EXCERPT:
Clay didn’t want to crowd her, but he needed to touch her, to make sure she was all right. He warred with himself as he slowly approached her, trying to shove his needs aside and focus on her. When she didn’t flinch away, Clay cupped Van’s jaw in his hand and angled her head so that she met his eyes.
“Hey,” he said in the most soothing voice he could muster. It was not a tone Clay used often. “Are you okay?”
She shook her head and leaned into his palm. Her chest heaved, and Clay covered the hand she held over her heart with his own. Her heart was pounding scary fast. He thought that maybe Van was having a panic attack. She’d had them a few times when they’d been teenagers.
Clay was vaguely aware of Michael, muttering to himself and getting to his feet, over his shoulder. Van’s eyes shot to him, and her breath came even faster. She was going to hyperventilate.
“Don’t look at him,” Clay said, capturing her gaze again. “Look at me. Good. Now, breathe with me.” He stepped in close, putting their hands over his heart. Clay’s heartbeat wasn’t exactly slow and steady, but it was calmer than hers.
Van closed her eyes and matched the rise and fall of her chest to his. Finally, she relaxed into him, her head rolling onto his shoulder.
“I have to give a speech in a few minutes.” Her voice was wavering and muffled by his shirt.
“Take some time. They’ll wait for you,” Clay said and wrapped his arms more fully around her. He wanted to rail at her, to tell her she needed 24-hour security, but now wasn’t the time.
“Thank you,” she said. “I—” She balled her fingers into his shirt.
“Shhh.”
Clay chanced a glance over his shoulder, and Michael had disappeared. Good riddance, fuckwad.
He tightened his hold on Van and held her until both their heart rates had returned to normal. At some point, they’d started to sway together. His thumb caressed the curve of her waist, and he felt Van’s nose graze his neck. A second later, her lips brushed over the hollow of Clay’s throat.
Her balled fist flattened against his chest, and he pressed his palm into the small of her back. The swaying stopped, and when she raised her eyes to his, the shift in mood was so swift and fierce, Clay barely registered the decision to kiss her before their lips crashed together.
