Identical

‘Please, I need your help. You’re the only person I can turn to. The only person who can pretend to be me…’

When Alice gets a desperate message from her estranged identical twin sister Cecily, she can’t help herself. She has to say yes. Pushing down the memories of the terrible childhood that ultimately tore them apart, she arrives at her sister’s house.

Cecily has left instructions: how to work the oven, what to cook for supper, what to say to her husband.

She says she’ll only be gone a week. She just needs to contact a lawyer, sort her head out, and work out how to get away from her marriage safely.

Alice barely knows why she’s agreed. But as she puts the key in the door, she wonders if – in coming to help her sister – she might be putting herself in the most terrible danger.

Because when Cecily stops replying to messages, and the words ‘die, die, die’ appear scrawled in lipstick on the bathroom mirror, Alice realizes – someone is out to get Cecily. And now they think Alice is her…

An absolutely pulse-pounding psychological thriller – with a twist that literally nobody will see coming – from bestselling author Saskia Sarginson. Perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Shari Lapena and Gone Girl.

When I wake up, I know three things. My name is Emma. Someone tried to kill me. And I can’t remember who.

When I blink, my eyelashes brush against scratchy cloth. My fingers twitch, numb and distant. In thedistance, sirens wail. I’m in the hospital.

I should be safe here, but I know I’m not. The last thing I remember is running, seeing an arm raised to strike…
Why would anyone want to kill me?

Desperately, I piece together my scattered memories. I’m standing with my husband on sugar-white sand, our rings glinting in the sunlight. I’ll get better, and I’ll go home to him, and he will protect me.

But when he visits, his new girlfriend is on his arm. He tells me we got divorced three years ago, and my world falls apart.
What else have I forgotten?

The only way I can keep myself safe is to uncover the answers buried deep in my mind. But as I talk to my visitors—listening to the gentle tones of the doctors and nurses, grateful for the care of my friends and family—I start to see the lies that contradict what I remember of my life.

They say it’s just my broken memory. But I know the shocking truth:
I can’t trust a word anyone says…

The Hospital
Written By Leslie Wolfe
Review By Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank Leslie Wolfe, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

OMG!!!!  I have been craving a good medical psychological thriller and wow Leslie Wolfe did not disappoint!!! The Hospital is one of the best books that I have read in this genre in a long time!! Leslie’s storyline was so wickedly intense, insanely fast paced, totally addicting that I binged read it in one sitting. This is one book you will want to put on your TBR list and bump it to the top.

Oh the detailed raw emotional filled scenes in the first chapter felt like I was watching a Netflix series that you can’t stop binging on!! I was literally glued to my kindle on the edge of my seat scared to death what happened and what was happening to Emma!! So many questions as to why she was in the hospital and who in the world did this to her!! I needed to find out!

The Hospital you have Emma’s point of view and then you have this very creepy mystery person that chimes in. This person gave me the creeps!!

Leslie did some great research as she addressed an important topic of traumatic brain injury and anterograde amnesia and how it affected Emma. I appreciated how Leslie explained the medical terminology and testing for those who may not have the medical background.

Oh how I was so glad Emma reached out to her Mom. I know how difficult it was but she was able to get some eye opening answers she so desperately wanted and needed!!

I’m a huge fan of all things in the entertainment world so I enjoyed learning who Steve was and who Emma was prior to her attack. However, the more I learned about Steve the more he was not my favorite person.

Oh this book was wickedly twisted and so good!!!

From the newest sensation in contemporary romance comes a delightfully heartwarming beach read that’s perfect for fans of RaeAnne Thayne, Denise Hunter, and Debbie Macomber.

After losing her beloved family’s Cape Cod inn right after culinary school, chef Lana Kelly converts her late father’s old fish market next door into a successful restaurant. However, over the years, she’s kept her eye on the inn with dreams to expand. She also hopes she can acquire the property for her grandad so he’ll know it’s back in the family before his dementia causes the memory to vanish for good.

When the inn goes up for sale, she rushes to put in an offer. But Hunter Graham of Graham Property Development in New York City snapped it up and plans to transform it into an event venue. With competition on the Cape continuing to rise, Lana worries about how to keep her little restaurant growing. And she isn’t so thrilled about her new neighbor.

Next to the lapping waters of the bay and the summer breezes, Lana is forced to face the truth. But will that truth be losing the inn forever or finding something more?

A heartwarming summer romance that will sweep you away to the sparkling New England coast. An incredible story that you will not be able to put down, full of healing, family ties, and best of all, love.

Writing stories as a little girl was the way I coped with the world around me. At 16, I faced a traumatic event that forever changed who I am and made me into the person I am today, but despite how hard it has been to heal - it didn't take away the storyteller in me. I continued to write throughout all those years I felt lost, bringing my characters to life and using it as my escape. I always knew I would be an author one day, but it wasn't until another tragedy- losing my son, Joseph, in 2013, who was born still - finally ignited my writing career. I began to write my story and didn't stop.

My memoir, Just Be, was published in 2018 and while I always knew I would venture into sweet romantic fiction, writing my story was important because for me - it is my ultimate love story.

Why sweet romance? Because stories with happy endings can help us grow as people and help us to be brave in a world that has many distractions, stresses, and where love is often challenged. My passion is to write and share romance that connects my readers with my characters whom they can relate to, smile within my stories and feel encouraged by the love that changes their lives, their relationships and their faith. Just as I wrap love around me every single day since overcoming trauma and grief.

Fly Away Summer

Written By Lindsay Gibson

Review By Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

RFirst, I want to thank Lindsay Gibson and Harpeth Road Press for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Lindsay Gibson’s Fly Away Summer is a beautifully written and heartfelt story that will make you want to hug your loved ones a little tighter. For me it was an emotional read and needed a few tissues.

I have to commend Kristen Ingebretson for her cover design and Shutterstock as well for the cover images. Out of all the covers that Harpeth Road Press has created over the years this is my favorite one to date. It is such a breathtaking cover and represents the book so well.

Lindsay does an amazing job jumping right into the storyline! What is even better is she is incredible with expressing all of Lana’s emotions and there were a lot of them to express! My heart went out to her for all that she was going through!

I absolutely loved the picturesque setting of Boston and Cape Cod, the clambakes, seafood, and the bakery goodies in Fly Away Summer! Having been there now I am craving some Clam Chowder!

Lindsay addresses Dementia and the effects of mental decline and how it affects the person and family. That being said I loved hearing the stories he did share with Lana. They brought a smile to my face.

I was extremely surprised and had a big grin on my face to see who Lana’s Sues Chef was. Her name was Heidi. Ironically there was another character in the book with my last name (but a very few know my real last name).

Heidi is persistent even with everything going on in Lana’s life she is still insistent she fixes her up with this one guy!

This book is about family past and present and grieving how the relationships have changed.

In the middle of my beautiful daughter’s eighteenth birthday party, silence falls as I unfold my speech, my heart bursting with everything I want to say. But when I look down I see a note, and my world stops: She’s not who you think she is.

Ruby was our miracle baby. I would have done anything to become a mother, and when she finally arrived, I held her in my arms, looked in her blue eyes and swore I would never let anything harm her. Now she’s everything I could have dreamed of. I don’t even think about all the years of heartache I went through before she was born.

So when I get the strange warning at her birthday party, I ignore it, hiding it in my bag with trembling hands. Someone is simply jealous of her.

But as I watch my daughter, things I’ve been trying to ignore come flooding back to me – Ruby’s odd disappearances, her whispered arguments with her best friend, and a memory from her sixth birthday which still breaks my heart to remember.

I need to know the truth about who she really is, but digging into my daughter’s secrets might reveal my own. As the party draws to a close and the confetti is swept away, I gather my courage. I’ve spent eighteen years trying to forget my own mistakes, and it could only take a moment for everything to fall apart.

Do I risk tearing my family apart to keep my daughter safe? Because when my secrets come out, I could lose my precious girl forever…

A completely compelling and heart-wrenching read about the strength of a mother’s love for her child. Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty, Amanda Prowse and Susan Lewis.

Julia was born in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, and began her career as a professional singer/dancer. This enabled her to travel the world in her late teens storing up experiences she has since included in her writing.

Following roles as a hostess on The Price is Right and a member of the Beadle’s About ‘hit squad’ in the 1980s, she became a TV Presenter and filmed features for Sky Sports before launching the QVC shopping channel in 1993 where she still presents today. Having always wanted to write, she penned her first book, a memoir sold on QVC, in 2013 and has since written eleven full length novels, two novellas and several short stories.

My Daughter’s Lies

Written By Julia Roberts

Review By Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank Julia Roberts, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

WOWZERS!! My Daughter’s Lies by Julia Roberts is truly an emotionally filled family drama that pulls on your heart strings. It is a gripping fast paced addictive storyline.

Julia would like to dedicate My Daughter’s Lies in memory of Sadie Walsh.

I absolutely LOVED the idea for Ruby’s 18th Birthday Party that her Aunt Sadie helped plan for her! Being a huge fan of musicals I would have loved to attend that party! It was such a perfect idea since she loved musicals, dancing, etc!

One thing I don’t miss about my teenage years is the high school drama especially when it came to boys! Oh this book was filled with secrets, betrayals, lies, backstabbing, feuds between friends, etc.
