#NewReleaseComingSoon Moon Shot By Tara Wyatt

COMING AUGUST 18!

Dallas Longhorns manager Javier Flores’ plate isn’t just full—it’s overflowing. Not only is he focused on taking the Longhorns to the World Series this year, but he’s also fighting his ex-wife for shared custody of his two daughters. He doesn’t have room for distractions, even if he is lonely. But when he wakes up beside his nemesis, sports agent Aerin Stone, the morning after a few too many drinks at a wedding reception, he is definitely distracted.

Aerin knows better than most what it’s like to have her heart ripped into a million pieces. She knows what it means to have her entire world crash and burn. And she knows that she’s better off alone, even if she did have the best sex of her life with Javi Flores. It doesn’t matter how good it was, because it can’t ever happen again. After all, she doesn’t even like him. He’s too uptight, too bossy, too sexy. Too dangerous. Too risky for her wounded heart.

But one night isn’t enough to quench the pent-up lust burning between Javi and Aerin, and for once they agree on something: they want more, even if it’s the worst idea either of them has ever had. Because everyone knows what they say about the best laid plans…

heart-wrenching drama… an emotional rollercoaster with twists along the way… I read this in four hours and I know you’ll be hooked too.’ NetGalley Reviewer,

All I wanted was to bring our family closer together, but could what I find tear us apart instead?

A heartbreaking and powerful novel about family secrets and how we live with decisions we never thought we would have to make. Perfect for fans of Jodi Picoult, Kate Hewitt and Amanda Prowse.

Ali

Ali is fascinated by families, their myths and secrets, and the forces that hold them together, split them up and (sometimes) bring them back together again. She always travels with tissues and a book and has been known to cry over a good story but is also a big fan of the hopeful ending.

 My Mother’s Choice

Review by

Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank Ali Mercer, Bookature and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I may provide you with this review.

Ali Mercer has once again written another heart wrenching must read in her latest novel My Mother’s Choice. She will pull on all of your heart strings in every different direction. She has a gift for doing this in many of her books. Which is one of the reasons why I am such a fan of hers.

Immediately, I was drawn to this cover as it was so sweet. Later when reading the book did I understand the meaning of the cover and the title. The graphic artist was spot on with their idea behind this.

What made this book different than many I have read in the past was it was told in the voice of the 14 year old daughter Dani. It also had the voice of her mother Laura via her Diary from the past. Both aspects gave the story a very unique spin on it.

My heart ached deeply for Dani as there was always a mystery surrounding her Mother. Both her Dad and her Aunt Carrie were so cold and standoffish and always avoided the subject. I did not care for them as they didn’t show much emotion towards her.

There were so many secrets, terrible betrayals, lots of twists and turns, and shocking moments.

This was one book I never saw the ending coming at all and was totally shocked by it. However, the title totally fit when you thought about it. It was the Mother’s Choice. It just ripped my heart out! Yes, I admit I did tear up! Ali is good like that!
