 The Soulmate

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Holly does, in spite of everything that’s happened in her life. Sometimes the thought that her soulmate is out there is the only thing that keeps her going.

Then she hears her favourite song being played in a train station. She’s drawn to where the sound is coming from, as if by a magnetic force. There is a handsome young man sitting at the piano, who smiles at her, and she feels that spark she’s always dreamt of. She asks if she can join him, and sings along, seeing his face light up.

He’s called Mark, she later discovers. And he feels the same. They both feel like they’ve been hit with a thunderbolt. But even though it seems like they’ve known each other for lifetime, the truth is that they’re strangers.

Because Holly has secrets. And so does Mark.

And one of them might just kill to keep them…

The Soulmate is the most breathtaking, cat-and-mouse psychological thriller you’ll read all year! A thriller about obsession, love, deceit and murder, perfect for fans of Gone GirlThe Housemaid, and You.

I’m home,’ she says, standing at my door with a sky-blue backpack clutched tightly to her chest. I haven’t seen my granddaughter in years. But I know she’s hiding a deadly secret…

It’s been ten years since I last saw Stephanie, but looking into her haunted eyes, she looks just as innocent as she did as a baby. I remember the photo of her wrapped in a little pink blanket; how my heart hurt not to hold her on the day she was born. Pulling her in to a tight embrace, I promise her that although she’s lost her mother, I will take care of her from now on. No matter what…

But as I usher her inside, I can’t help wondering if Stephanie knows my secrets. The real reason I hadn’t seen her mother in years… or why she wasn’t ever allowed to visit me at my house.

Did my daughter take our family secrets to the grave? Stephanie’s heart breaks when she talks about her mother. But soon details slip out about the night she died, and I begin to realise that my granddaughter is just as good a liar as I am…

Stephanie says my daughter's death was an accident, but I’m not so sure. If I uncover my granddaughter’s secrets, will I be next?

This utterly addictive psychological thriller will have you reading late into the night. Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, John Marrs and Claire McGowan.

Casey Kelleher was born in Cuckfield, West Sussex, and she grew up as an avid reader.

Whilst working as a beauty therapist and bringing up their three children together with my husband, she penned her debut novel Rotten to the Core. Its success meant that Casey could give up her day job and concentrate on writing full time.

Casey loves connecting with her readers, and there are plenty of ways you can get in touch:

First, I want to thank Casey Kelleher, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

Casey Kelleher is back with another one of her twisted psychological thrillers in The Perfect Guest. The Perfect Guest is fast paced, addicting, dark, suspenseful, and at times heartbreaking.

Right away Casey captures her readers interest with the shocking prologue leaving you wanting what happened that lead up to this point! What a great hook to the story that made me want to continue reading! I just love when authors do this!

Casey, you freaked me to the core with the storyline of the character’s daughter being buried alive! Oh the emotions that that scene brought up in me were real! Seeing I am still grieving my father (he passed away in December) I could see me very well react the way she did in this scene.

The character in this book that pulls hard on my heart strings is the adorable baby George who is really sick and needs medical attention. What pulls on my heart even more is his living conditions in which he is living are not suitable for any baby!

Ash was not a character I was very fond of. He rubbed me the wrong way from the very beginning.

This book had a lot of wicked twists and turns, ups and downs, and shocking moments.

Synopsis:

A mysterious figure. A dead televangelist. A series of bizarre rituals.

Margo has spent most of her life without a family, and with a telekinetic gift she can't quite explain. Since losing her mother less than a year ago, she's felt more alone than ever. When her fiancé Sam takes her to his remote Iowa hometown to meet his family and begin planning their wedding, Margo quickly feels out of place among her future in-laws. Not only is their obsession with a deceased televangelist unsettling, but Margo has begun seeing a strange, mysterious figure from her past - a figure that she thought was put to rest with her mother's passing. But the more Margo tries to distance her past from her future with Sam, the deeper his family pulls her in, forcing upon her archaic, ritualistic traditions. As Margo unearths the family's dark web of secrets, she begins to suspect that she may have been brought here for a reason, and it may cost her her life.

In the psychologically unsettling vein of We Used to Live Hereand I'm Thinking of Ending Things, combined with the socially aware suspense of GET OUT, The Ever End unveils a twisted, feminist story that will keep readers guessing until the end, and stay with them long after that.

The Ever End

Review By Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank Audrey Wilson and Bywater Books for providing me this book so I may bring you this review.

Dang what did I just read?! Audrey Wilson totally blew my mind in her twisted out of the box Psychological Horror/Suspense novel The Ever End. I will be blunt. I was not sure if I was going to like this book as I am not a fan of books with religion, horror, etc. However, I am a fan of Aubrey’s past novels and wanted to read it. Oh I am so glad I did because I couldn’t tear my eyes off my Kindle!! This is a story everyone will be talking about!!

This is a fast paced, addicting, binge worthy book that if you can stomach it you can devour it in one sitting like I did.

The Ever End is one book where I think I disliked all but three characters in the book! Each of them either creeped me out or rubbed me the wrong way. Many times I started yelling at them through my Kindle! But seriously the whole time I am reading this book I kept thinking why in the world would Margo want to marry into this messed up family?

Audrey really surprised me with all the wicked twists and turns when you least expected it.

Margo and Rebecca’s storyline was one of my favorites in the book throughout all the other craziness.

If you want something different that is going to keep you on your toes then I highly suggest this one.
