First, I want to thank Susan Lynn Solomon for this book so I may bring you this review.
WNY Author Susan Lynn Solomon is back with this incredible read in What’s Past Is Prologue. This time around it is a criminal case with a very unique twist to it.
Susan would like to dedicate this book to Michael and Cheryl Ingino. During this difficult time they are there for others and show kindness in what they do.
Living in Buffalo, NY one thing I appreciate in Susan’s writing is she incorporates WNY into her stories. In this book I could not help smiling that the main character relocated to WNY. Susan put well known landmarks, streets, restaurants, etc into her story. She not only educated the character but her readers to what to see or do if they ever decide to come to WNY.
I truly loved how she just happened to plug another talented WNY author Gary Earl Ross and his book Blackbird Rising into the story. Gary educates his readers on the history of WNY within his books.
In each book Susan writes she adds a little paranormal aspect of the storyline. While it is not a fave sub genre of mine she makes it very interesting. In What’s Past Is Prologue Jessica the main character has odd dreams that haunt her. During the story the flashbacks of the dream come up to play.
Susan wrote this one scene in the book that was incredibly fascinating and filled with a lot of details of bones.
I couldn’t stop laughing when she went through the Kentucky Fried Chicken drive through line at the location in Niagara Falls. Jessica and everyone else in Niagara Falls seemed to want to cook that night as she waited 20 minutes.
