Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank TK Chapin for providing this book for me so I can bring you this review.

TK Chapin is back again with yet another amazing faith based book entitled One Beautiful Faith. In this book I feel most readers will feel the connection with the characters as they are real and put into real life situations. This is one thing about TK is that he is so real, genuine and writes from his heart.

With all of TK’s books you will find that he creates the beautiful covers himself! Each one is more beautiful than the prior one! Also, in each book he is true to his faith and includes the scripture and word of god. He is very passionate about his faith and writing about it.

TK had to know I would smile ear to ear when I read the name of the main character. My sister’s name is Courtney-and-we too call her Court for short! I had a good feeling about the book when I read her name pop up.

I loved the name Rhett too. However, I loved that he was a small town farmer. Being a medical chick at heart (I was a medical office assistant back in the day) I cracked up at the whole medical scene. It was a cute scene though.  However, there was one part that I questioned and was shocked that TK would ever put in the book. Rhett was blaming god for messing up his life and just now wanting to help him out. Right there bam there is a lesson! God is not responsible for messing up anyone’s life. You are in control of your life. He can just guide you along the way.

TK got comical in this book or maybe I need to get out more. Courtney was thinking of applying to work on Rhett’s ranch. What I was laughing at is she mentioned she has never done anything physical and sat out most of her physical education classes. So, she was way out of her comfort zone.

My heart ached for Rhett in all the tragedy that he faced throughout his lifetime. I could understand why he blamed God for messing up his life.

There is a verse in the book that really hit home to me. “Nowhere in the Bible does God promise an easy life. What He does promise is never leaving us or forsaking us.”

What I found interesting about this book is it is in present day and then towards the middle to end it reverts to Courtney when she was 13 years old.

I loved Rhett and Courtney’s story with all of their ups, downs, shocking moments and a surprise ending that put a smile on my face and love in my heart!
