WOW!! It has been a while since I have read one of K.L. Slater’s psychological thrillers and forgot how much I enjoyed them! This time around she is back with her latest Husband and Wife! This book was fast paced, addicting, thrilling, twisted and at points shocking! 

She put a smile on my face as she thanked all of her bloggers and reviewers for supporting authors. 

Husband and Wife is an addicting fast paced read that if you blink you will miss something. I say this because the story line jumps from past to present in the blink of an eye. It took me a little bit to adjust to that. 

I adored the names of the characters she came up with as they were unique. 

K.L. Hooked me with the description in the prologue of Sarah’s strange night out. K.L. Really put a lot of details to her description and I loved it. 

Ohh the secrets and the twists and turns of this book was intense!

OMG!! The Only Son by Brian R. O’Rourke totally rocked me to the core!! How far would you go to protect your child and your own family?! This is a book that will leave you completely speechless as your jaw will be on the floor throughout the whole book. Brian’s first psychological thriller The Perfect Husband was good but DANG The Only Son brings his storytelling to a whole new level! Brian has a gift in this genre! I highly suggest you run out and get it and put it on our tbr list! 

The Only Son is intensely fast paced. If you blink you will miss a wicked curveball he sends your way! Once you start reading it you can’t put it down! There is just so many different angles and directions this story goes into you will want to know the answers!!!

Brian addresses some very important life issues and topics that would make a great discussion at your next book club meeting. For me personally I wanted to hop into the book and give Andrew a hug for what he had to deal with. 

From start to finish this book played out like a movie! The writing was just so detailed, intense, pulled on your emotions, etc. I can’t say enough good things about this book and wonder how he will top the next one?

Excited, I entered the nursery barn with Shaneika Mary Todd leading the way. It was still very early, and the mares were with their offspring in their stalls, quietly munching on hay. They would be let out when the grass had dried. However, kicking and neighing erupted from one stall.

Shaneika shot me a worried look. “That’s Jean Harlow. I know her cry.”

We both rushed to the stall. “What’s wrong?” I asked, seeing Shaneika’s alarmed facial expression.

Shaneika swung open the stall door and pushed a nervous Jean Harlow out of the way.

I grabbed the mare’s halter and led her out into the barn aisle. She was jumpy and hard to handle, so I shouted for aid. “Can someone help us, please?”

Shaneika ran out of the stall and began checking the others frantically.

“What is wrong?” I asked again, handing Jean Harlow over to a nursery groom who led the horse back into her stall.

Shaneika screamed, “WHAT’S WRONG? WHAT’S WRONG? THE FOAL IS MISSING. THAT’S WHAT IS WRONG!”

WOW!!! Emily Shiner you are on a role this year girl!! You completely outdo yourself with every book that you write! Your latest psychological thriller The Better Mother is totally addicting that once you start it you can’t put it down!! It is an extremely fast paced, suspenseful, thrilling, nail biting with twists you won’t see coming! It is a book that you will want to put on your tbr list!

Anna was the cutest little 3 year old ever! She instantly had me smiling and cracking up laughing. She was just the sweetest ever! Definitely stole the show! 

I too would be in total utter shock if some boy showed up out of the blue claiming to be your husband’s son!! So many questions that needed answers of who, why, and more importantly where was his Mother?! Oh this storyline was creepy and perfect for this time of year!

Emily threw a massive curveball into the dramatic climax that was just jaw dropping! I never ever saw that coming!
