In 1994, Joseph Hill, a promising college football player, is attacked by a cursed parasite that carries the wicked blood of Moskito—a monster risen from hell to destroy all that is good. Piling onto Joseph’s pending disaster are the trials of navigating freshman academics, experiencing newfound love, and dealing with cruelty from his teammates about his Native American roots.
The pressures on Joseph to fit in are compounded when he suffers from visions during his Native Studies class that are so real that the history lives and breathes within him. His peculiar professor seems to know something about Joseph and his family’s past. After she teaches him how greed and revenge have shaped the present darkness, he learns about a prophesy from 1794: a savior of the Nations will rise to face an epic battle against evil to prevent the extinction of the bicentennial Canandaigua treaty.
Soon, legends of terrifying beasts and vile mosquitoes that crawl underneath human flesh become a reality for Joseph, and as friends and family go missing, he’s left with no choice but to fight Moskito and his army of Moskitowalkers or lose everything and everyone he cares about.
As a young boy I had night-terrors that left me screaming bloody murder in the middle of the bedroom I shared with my older brother. He recalls me standing before our chest of drawers and trying to open it, saying, “the odd spot, the odd spot is trying to get me.”
The nightmares got so bad that my faith filled grandmother came to the house to pray over me. She prayed for peace, she also prayed that I’d one day become a priest. I’ve found peace on most days, but like most, it fluctuates. I’ve also become a priest…of sorts. Well, to the relief of my wonderful wife and two brilliant daughters, I only play one on tv.
My first stint many years ago was in a little indie short film, titled Testament, where I played Julian, a young priest in an end-of-world scenario. A few years after, I landed the title role of Nicholas of Myra, in the story of Saint Nicholas, where I play the young bishop throughout his heroic and historic life.
Then came along Moskito, a serial I crafted for television and have since adapted to a book series. The three-volume start is just the tip of a long arrow in the ongoing saga that takes place in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The story follows Joseph Hill, a college football player who is bitten by a mosquito that carries the wicked blood of a demon from hell. Afterward, he and his friends find themselves immersed in a supernatural battle that comes to pass in horrific ways. I’ll be playing the protective role of Father Michael Bartlett, a mysterious Jesuit Blackrobe, who lives faithfully until he decides that he must fight fire with fire. Yes, the brimstone kind of fire.
Waiting in the wings is Father of Lies, a story that follows the life of Father Nathan Appleton. Like Father Michael, he’s a priest who takes the law into his own hands when he finds out that the city's most honored officer has sold his soul to the devil.
Over the stretch of my creative career, I happily look back to the ‘odd spot’ and to the influence of early prayers, my supportive family, and the struggles along the way. I know that this journey has shaped me to become who I am today and the kind of stories I love to tell. I pray that you love them too.
From the odd spot to you. Thank you for reading, watching, and listening.
From the newest sensation in contemporary romance comes a delightfully heartwarming holiday story that’s perfect for fans of RaeAnne Thayne, Denise Hunter, and Debbie Macomber. Art buyer Charlotte Moore is given the chance of a lifetime to be head buyer for the esteemed Wallace Gallery’s Christmas charity gala. But when she arrives at auction, after the most prominent pieces are all bought up, in a panic, she bids on the final painting—an unsigned sunset landscape she’s nearly sure her boss will despise.
To save her job, she finds herself in the beautifully festive New England coastal town of Seabreeze, the setting of the painting. When a nor’easter blows through, she’s stuck at the adorable Cove Hill Inn, all decorated for the holiday and brimming with Christmas magic. While it’s not an awful place to be snowed in, her ability to work is at a standstill, with the gala looming closer.
And she isn’t expecting to meet the innkeeper’s soon, ruggedly handsome Aiden Bennett, a distraction she definitely doesn’t need. Even the inn’s cherry scones and the town’s Christmas fair are no match for Aiden’s charm.
However, when she uncovers a family secret that could impact everyone, including herself and Aiden, it might shake up more than just the holiday. Under the shimmer of the town twinkle lights and the snow-covered Christmas trees, will Charlotte find the answers she’s looking for? Or has she unearthed something else entirely?
A heartwarming, holiday love story that will have you on the edge of your seat, reaching for the gingerbread cookies and hot cocoa.

When she’s not writing, she spends her days chatting on herLove is the Reasonpodcast about all things love, food and healthy living, chasing her three daughters around their hometown in Connecticut, and hanging out with her Irish husband whose brogue still makes her blush.
First, I want to thank Lindsay Gibson and Harpeth Road Press for providing me this book so I can bring you this review!
It may be October but thanks to Lindsay Gibson I am getting into the Christmas Spirit a bit earlier this year! The Christmas Promise is a beautiful story that will put a smile on your face, love in your heart and wanting to start your Christmas cookie baking!
Harpeth Road Press’s Graphic Designers did a beautiful job on this breathtaking book cover! The colors were so pretty! I don’t think there has ever been a cover by Harpeth Road Press that I didn’t like.
Lindsay transported her readers back to the 1919’s where we learned about Oliver’s and Alice’s beautiful love story. Oh how this storyline gave me all the feels!
Being a worry wort and overthinker being put into the situation Charlotte was I would have acted the same way.
Oh how I want to jump in the book and stay at the hotel at Seabreeze! It seemed so warm, cosey, inviting, and full of small town Christmas spirit. Not to mention the meals described sounded amazing!
If you are looking for some Christmas spirit give The Christmas Promise a try.

About the Author
Linda Luchtman is a debut author from the Netherlands. During the COVID-19
pandemic in 2020, which was a hard time for many people emotionally and
mentally, the story of Sitou was born, but the author put it aside to write
"The Bum Biter," a sweet little book for toddlers that was only
released in her private circle in the Netherlands but will be available on
Amazon later this year.
It wasn't until her daughter, Lara, struggled with anxiety in 2023 that the
author revisited the story of Sitou. She knew it was the perfect way to help
her daughter, and it did just that. Now, Linda is on a mission to share the
story to help kids and adolescents with their emotional well-being. Next to
this, she has made several assignments to go along with Sitou's story to
help readers connect Sitou's journey to their lives. This makes it a more
interactive and meaningful experience.
Linda is not only an expert in writing. She is also an expert in
instructional design and using neuroscience to create effective classrooms.
She has a Master's degree in this field and has helped many teachers and
trainers in universities, vocational training, and businesses. She is a
certified coach and is currently seeing her first coaching clients.
Romantic entanglements, A-list weddings and missing diamonds... it's going to be a busy spring in Westenbury! Sisters Hannah, Rosa, and Eva are on a mission to sustain picturesque Heatherly Hall, in Yorkshire's Westenbury village. So when they hear the legend of the Jet Set – a necklace with a rare diamond, commissioned by royalty and hidden in their hall – they plan a fundraiser: an Agatha-Christie style am-dram production and treasure hunt. As if that weren't enough, music superstar Drew Livingston and Bollywood legend Aditi Sharma have chosen their hall for a wedding in just six weeks' time, and the pressure is mounting to pull off the wedding of the decade. Staging the play, unravelling the mystery of the diamond, and meeting the demands of an A-list bride and groom without their lives unravelling seems impossible. But these three sisters know that with family by your side, anything can be overcome... Perfect for fans of Katie Fforde, Jill Mansell, and anyone who loves a warm and witty romance with a dash of intrigue.

Julie Houston lives in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire where her novels are set, and her only claims to fame are that she teaches part-time at Bridget Jones’ author Helen Fielding’s old junior school and her neighbour is Chocolat author, Joanne Harris. After University, where she studied Education and English Literature, she taught for many years as a junior school teacher. She now teaches just two days a week, and still loves the buzz of teaching junior-aged children. She has been a magistrate for the past nineteen years, and, when not distracted by Ebay, Twitter and Ancestry, spends her time writing. Julie is married, has a twenty-four-year-old son and twenty-one-year-old daughter and a ridiculous Cockerpoo called Lincoln. She runs and swims because she’s been told it’s good for her, but would really prefer a glass of wine, a sun lounger and a jolly good book - preferably with Matthew McConaughey in attendance.
My Favorite Season is Spring is a beautifully illustrated picture book
which every child will love. Through rhythm and rhyme, take a fun and
exciting journey with little Susie as she describes her favorite season. She
finds so many fun things to do and she loves the outdoors, and you will too!
Great engaging teaching tool for children.
