OMG when I heard that Debbie Gibson wrote a book based on her life entitled Eternally Electric The Message In My Music I HAD to put it on my TBR list!!! I have been a huge fan of her music and acting ever since she released Out of the Blue! My childhood dreams actually came true when I was able to meet her and the New Kids outside of the Key Center at the Mixtape Show in Buffalo, NY. I stood outside the buses not so patiently waiting for 12 hours to get a glimpse! Well my dreams came true. I got to meet her and her dog Joey and got pictures with her. Side note I also got to meet Joey Mac and Danny Wood. I was a very happy girlie that night!!! 

Getting back to the book….I loved the cover! She looked amazing in her green dress and heels! 

Debbie dedicated this book to her late Mom Diane Gibson who was such a proud Mother and Momager. Debbie included a picture of she and her Mother along with the dedication 

Many know that I am a huge New Kid on the Block fan and that I have been a Joey’s girl since I was 13. If you didn’t know that you do now. I was so excited that he wrote this forward for her as I know it meant a lot to her. However, I was thrown off on the first line when I saw Debbie Gibson naked! First thought was Joey you are happily married (and not to me lol). It was beautifully written. 

In Eternally Electric Debbie opens up and lets us into her world and shares with us more about who she is, who her parents were, shares who she has dated along her journey, etc.

Debbie includes some great pictures in her book.

My heart went out to her many times when she lost her parents. Just losing my Dad who was my best friend I can understand the pain she went through. Even more so the story behind finding out you had Lymes Disease and how you found out. 

Debbie, you are a fantastic writer and incredible storyteller! Thank you for opening up your world to us and letting us in. This is a must read for any fans of Debbie’s.

We Never Die SECRETS of the AFTERLIFE by Matt Fraser says it best when the death of a loved one is the most challenging and emotional thing anyone can go through!! This was the perfect book that I could have read this weekend!! A year ago this weekend my life was flipped upside down when my best friend, biggest supporter, and confidant, my Dad passed away from an illness and I have not been the same! I found Matt and his reels on Facebook and started watching them and became fascinated by them. When I learned he wrote books you knew I had to read some of them. So, I grabbed this from the library and was so glad that I did. 

Matt wants to dedicate this book to all those grieving the loss of loved ones. He hopes that what we read helps us feel closer to the love in spirit. 

We Never Die opens with a beautifully written forward by Matt’s wife Alexa! Not only is it beautifully written but she is an amazing storyteller as well. She opens up about her experiences with death in her family. We the readers also get to read about Matt and Alexa’s first meeting which leads to their beautiful love story! Alexa seems like an incredible woman and she is so blessed to have found a great guy in Matt! From the reels I have seen they have an adorable family. 

This is a must read for anyone that has lost a loved one either a parent, spouse, grandparent, pet, best friend, etc. Matt shares so many stories and situations about loved ones passing. One of them is bound to pull on your heart strings and resonate with you. They did with me! 

What I was interested about learning seeing that my Dad just passed was the truth about Heaven, what happens when you die, where is heaven? He answers all those questions and more in this book. Oh and if you are wondering if you will see your pet on the other side he talks about that as well. 

He explains the signs that loved ones give you to know that they are around some I have seen are music that my Dad has played me (he knows I am a huge NSYNC and New Kid Fan so this Christmas Season he would play on my radio in the car Christmas Music from them), I have had dreams at night from him. I am a huge fan of Butterflies and he knew this before his death so whenever I see them now I know that is him paying me a visit. 

Matt not only talks about crossing over, but also life and the purpose of it, laws of attraction, and finding happiness. This book gets deep. 

Matt educates his readers and opens up our eyes to so much about what is on the other side. He is a godsend to those who are grieving and just lost someone looking for answers. This is a must read for anyone questioning what really happens when you pass.

OMG!!! WOWZERS!!! Why have I never read a Karin Slaughter book before?! I remember seeing her Netflix series and liking that- but never read anything of hers. OMG that will all change after I read her latest We Are All Guilty Here!! I was lucky enough to have the day away from distractions and to myself to sit and binge read. Literally I was glued to the physical pages of the paperback book from the Buffalo Erie County Library as it was that addictive and fast paced. It was soo good. 

If you follow my reviews you know that I am a huge fan of psychological thrillers that deal with missing cases/abductions. This is one of those stories where two best friends are missing and Officer Emmy needs to find out what happened to them. When she looks into what happened to them she finds more than she ever thought she would! 

This book starts off in one time frame and then jumps to 12 years later to continue the story. 

There are so many important topics and issues brought up in this book. There are so many deep dark secrets hidden that will blow your mind when the truth is exposed. The twists, turns, mystery, and suspense is intense. 

Karin is an incredible storyteller who has an eye for detail and description. There are a few scenes that pull on your emotions. One in particular for me that made me want to reach out to Emmy.

This is a must read! To add to your TBR list. 5 stars all the way.
