I Know What I Saw

By NJ Cracknell

She lost her sister. Now someone is making sure she loses her mind.

Four years after witnessing her sister Beth disappear without a trace, Maya Brennan is still drowning in the aftermath. The guilt and isolation of a small Irish coastal town forces her to believe she could have imagined it all. But when a mysterious laptop appears in her home, everything changes.

Because the first email she reads was sent from Beth's long-dead account.

As more messages arrive, Maya becomes certain that someone is watching her. Someone who knows all about her weaknesses and her past. Soon, neighbours think she's relapsing into alcoholism, colleagues keep their distance and even the people she trusts the most begin to look like suspects.

Someone wants to terrify her. Someone wants the truth to stay buried. But now Maya can't ignore what she saw that fateful day.

In a town full of secrets, Maya must face the haunting truth: What if Beth really is out there? And what if the biggest threat of all is the one she's already let in?

I Know What I Saw is a twist-filled psychological thriller about obsession and guilt, and is perfect for fans of Andrea Mara and Alice Feeney.

Review by Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank NJ Cracknell and Bloodhound Books for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

WOWZERS!!! NJ Cracknell took us on a wild rollercoaster ride of emotions trying to find out what actually happened to Maya’s sister Beth in I Know What I Saw. This storyline was written creatively outside of the box from the other psychological thrillers out there. It is gripping, fast paced, addicting, binge readable, suspenseful, mysterious, has shock value, and heart ache as well. I would suggest it for your tbr pile.

After reading I Know What You Saw about Maya and Beth I had to call my sister and tell her how much she meant to me! Stories like this pull on my heart strings! Throughout the book when Maya kept getting messages from Beth I was praying they were actually from her. In fact, I could not put this book down until I knew what was actually going on with Beth!! There were so many twists, turns, deep secrets and jaw dropping revelations.

Like Maya I too get anxiety attacks and I appreciated learning about the mindfulness of making tea and how it can help relax your breathing. I do like tea so I will have to try this technique next time I make some. Thanks NJ.

I chuckled that Beth kept a checklist of qualities of men when she started dating someone. They had to have their own place, their own car, no psycho exes, and no kids. Hair. Be close with their mum.

The climax of I Know What I Saw was intense and building up to the shocking revelations that I didn’t see coming! It was good!!

The Romcom Writer

by Olivia Spring

Two enemies. One fake-dating romance. Unexpected fireworks.

My ex cheated on me with my sister.

Now they’re both coming to my brother’s wedding in Spain.

Which means I need a fake date. Fast.

The last person I expect to volunteer is Ben—the infuriatingly handsome playboy and property developer I’ve been forced to work with to open the Romance Library’s dreamy readers’ retreat in small seaside town, Sunshine Bay.

And the man who hates romance novels.

I should say no, but I’m desperate.

It’s only for one weekend.

How bad could it be?

Except when Ben impresses my family, then charms his way into my knickers, everything changes.

My dry spell? A distant memory.

That writer’s block? Gone.

Ben becomes the unexpected muse for my debut novel and I know I’m in trouble.

He’s leaving town soon, so falling for him would be a disaster.

Especially when our relationship was supposed to be fake.

Unfortunately, my heart has other ideas…

A steamy, dual POV romance novel featuring:

• Fake-dating romance
• Enemies-to-lovers romance
• Forced proximity
• Only one bed
• Destination romance
• Small-town romance
• Workplace romance
• Library setting
• Book lovers
• Spicy scenes
• A guaranteed happily ever after

Perfect for readers who love funny, spicy romance novels with hilarious banter, a swoony hero and bookish heroine. Also ideal for fans of The Spanish Love DeceptionThe Hating Game and Book Lovers.

The Romcom Writer
Written By Olivia Spring
Review By Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank Olivia Spring and Hartley Publishing for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

Olivia Spring is back in her third book in The Romance Library Series entitled The Romcom Writer! OMG seriously no joke I was at the gyn where my dr was running for an hour and a half and I didn’t care!! Olivia had me cracking up laughing and very entertained! I literally forgot how funny her books were and may I add how spicy too lol.

As I mentioned earlier this is Olivia’s third book in The Romance Library Series. You may read this as a standalone book however if you would like to know the backstory of the characters I suggest you read the first two books in the series.  Book one is The Romance Library (Jess and Theo’s story) and book two is the Love Librarian (Jane and Jackson’s story).

Olivia dedicates this book to all romance book lovers out there who seek their real-life book boyfriend. (That would be me lol) Ohh Olivia it would be very nice to find a man who buys you books, encourages my reading addiction and reenacts my favorite spicy scenes.

Rachel needs to be commended for her beautiful cover graphics on The Romcom Writer book cover! It is Olivia’s favorite and I can totally understand why it is a perfect fit for this book!

OMG!! That very first line in the first paragraph totally threw me off gaurd and I couldn’t help laughing!!! What a way to start off the book!!! I was not the only mind that went straight to the gutter at that moment!!

Mr. Train guy who for a brief minute could have been book boyfriend material quickly became a dud! However, this girl right here does not want to date a 6 ft man seeing as I am only 5’2” and you don’t need to look like god. Just have a good heart. Oh and the conversations about the books being realistic I was dying when I read this part of it!!! I agree….where are the short guys (for the short girls like me)? Where are women falling in love with men with receding hair lines, ED, and my favorite man boobs?! However, for him to say all this I would have probably given him a piece of my mind as well.

I could not smile and giggle with the whole library scene!! Never did I think you could pick up a guy in a library…but according to The Romcom Writer they do. Guess I should hang out at the library more often and maybe I will find my person!

This is the book for you if you like fake dating, enemies-to-lover, small-town romance, workplace romance, forced proximity, library setting, destination wedding and oh she has some spicy scenes thrown into the mix!! She adds a lot of fun twists into this book that will make you smile and have you crack up laughing!  This is such a fun read that needs to be put on your TBR List.
