A: Sweet, for sure! But I do like sour things too! I eat lemons like they're candy. Pour a little salt on them and dig in... Yum!
Q: What's your latest 5 star read?
A: The Family Game by Catherine Steadman! This one checked all the boxes for me. I inhaled it!

WOW!! Kiersten Modglin is going to scare any writer or potential author away from ever going on another writer's retreat!! YES! The queen of suspense is back just in time for Halloween with a spooky and twisted treat: A Quiet Retreat! KMOD fans will devour this 5 star must read book!
Kiersten Modglin is one author I will read anything by! She is so incredibly talented at creating such twisted stories! Each book she writes she tops the next one! I have not read a book of hers that was less than 5 stars-she is that good!
Instantaneously I totally fell in love with this story! Kiersten opened up the book with an email invite to the Black Hills Manor Writing Retreat! The stay in Black Hills, South Dakota sounded way too good to be true with all the amenities offered! Plus, a week free and all you had to do was post on social media?! Heck, when I first read the invite I wanted to attend.
A Quiet Retreat will satisfy every reader's sweet tooth as it has something for every taste.
Who wouldn’t be totally fangirling if their favorite author who you just adore was at the same writing retreat you were at?! You know I would be lol! I loved reading what genres each of the authors wrote that were in attendance at the retreat as well as their backstories.
However, the one backstory that really caught my attention was Lissa and Paul. When we first learned about Lissa I saw a little of me in her situation. However, as the story progressed I felt empathy for her.
Of course there will be some graphic gory scenes in this book. However, if you are familiar with Kiresten’s The Arrangement Series this is nothing compared to that! I would not want to be a fly on the wall in those scenes!
Kiersten is the queen of climatic endings with her major twists and turns that leave you speechless.
