Synopsis:

He's hotter than a chili pepper. She's icy champagne. A combination ready to combust...

All Gabe Falcon wants is to open a successful and trendy restaurant on the posh side of Naples, Florida.  What he doesn't expect is to get a glamorous and feisty neighbor who keeps him on his toes, challenging him at every turn.

Upscale perfumer Lily Marlowe, just back from Paris, creates custom fragrances for Naples' elite. And the last thing she needs is the spicy aromas of Gabe's mouth-watering dishes overpowering her fragrances and turning away customers. But she doesn't expect her business rival to present her with a tempting proposition that makes her reserve falter.

The more she gets to know Gabe, the harder it is for Lily to distance herself. Their chemistry is explosive and as his tender pursuit breaks through her barriers, she grapples with an intense longing she is powerless to resist. Torn between her desire and her business, can Lily trust Gabe when the unimaginable occurs?

Excerpt

“In this dance, I will lead you.” When Gabe saw her jaw set mutinously, he added firmly, “It’s non-negotiable.”
Her mouth opened and shut as she stared at him, rendered speechless by his mandate. What had she expected? He wasn’t going to let a gringa tell him how to dance when he’d practically been born dancing. Music coursed through his veins like fine wine, delectable and addictive. Luscious as Lily was, he wasn’t going to let her take the lead now…or ever.
“It’s only natural for the man to lead the woman in dance…and in lovemaking,” he said, not taking his eyes off her.
Her eyes widened and then narrowed as the impact of what he’d said sank in. The air between them sizzled and sparked. Independent and feisty, Lily was having a hard time handing him the reins to their dance. But if he was going to gain her trust, he had to start now. He’d already told her he was going to make her trust him even if it killed him.
“I won’t have it any other way,” he said, not taking his eyes off her.
He walked to the CD player and turned on the music, then returned to her side and waited for her to come around.
Her chest heaved as she tossed her ponytail and blew out a big breath. “Fine.” The blue-green specks in her hazel eyes glittered as she held his gaze boldly.
Smiling into her eyes, his thumb grazed her taut jaw until it softened. He held out his arms. “Bailemos.”
Swallowing visibly, Lily let him take her right hand and pull her in. Her hand was icy cold in his and he gave it a little squeeze to reassure her. But for all her bravado, he could tell she was nervous.
She put her left hand on his shoulder, and he noted how she sucked in a breath when the flat of his hand splayed over the small of her back just above the curve of her bottom. He had to feel the rhythm in her hips to lead her properly in the dance. He felt her quiver as he settled her closer to his pelvis. She tried to put distance between them, but he held firm.
“Easy, let me lead you,” he murmured in her ear. They had to get comfortable dancing together before he introduced more intricate moves. The lush feel of her soft body in his arms was intoxicating as was her floral scent surrounding him. She was delicious and enticing. All he could think about was making love to her, but he had to get through the dancing part first.
Closing his eyes, he let the Latin beat seep into his bones as he began to dance. He opened them to find her watching him. He held her securely, pleasantly surprised when she easily fell into step with him, matching his moves.
Damn, the girl could move, he thought with a satisfied smile. Her hips and pelvis swayed like a native Latina as her feet moved with precision to the sultry beat. She hadn’t been kidding when she said she could dance. Her body moved fluidly with confidence.
Before long they were moving as one, their bodies in synch. An hour passed as they continued dancing as naturally as if they were longtime lovers.

Scent For Love

Review by HeidiLynn's BookReviews

First, I want to thank Sophia Knightly for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Sophia Knightly does something very few authors do in Scent for Love. She puts in a music playlist and links It to YouTube. This way you can see and hear the music that the author was thinking about when she wrote this book. Myself personally love when authors think outside of the box.

So many fascinating aspects to this book that I have not seen any other author write about. For example, Lilly owning Fleur Perfumery. The incredible life that Aunt Simone leads yet she still sends postcards from wherever she goes. Never had I read a book about a Mexican Food Truck run by Gabe who is sex on a stick-so that was interesting. One thing about Sophia she is definitely knows how to write creatively!

I laughed when Lilly’s friend called Gabe Mr. Habanero!!

One reason I liked Lilly’s character is that I could relate to it. At 35 she had never fallen in love. She wondered if she was incapable of it. Falling in love meant letting go and trusting-two things she was not good at. I could totally understand that and agreed with her on that.

The one incredibly sad relationship in Scent for Love is the relationship with Lilly and her father. My heart went out to her for the way she was treated.

Sophia would like to thank her daughters Gigi and Jaqui, whose beautiful hearts and enthusiastic support make her proud.

She also wants to thank her husband Paul, who fills her creative well with endless love.
