My Husband's Secret:

An absolutely gripping page-turner with a heart-stopping twist by L.G. Davis

I thought I knew my husband. I was wrong...

I have the perfect life: a loving marriage, and an adorable little daughter, Mia, who is always full of smiles. But when my husband Keith is hit by a car, my whole world is turned upside down. With my heart breaking in his cold white hospital room, I hold his hand and tell him how much I love him. Then just as Keith slips into a coma, I hear him say four words that change everything: I took a life.

The Lucky One: An absolutely gripping and addictive psychological thriller by Jessica Payne

Ten years ago, I survived a serial killer. They called me the lucky one, but they don’t know the truth I’ve been hiding ever since…

Then: We danced together that night, our dresses glittering in the swirling lights. We couldn’t have known that for one of us, it would be our last night alive.

Now: Back in my hometown a decade later—the place I’ve avoided because of the memories—I can’t shake the feeling that I am being followed. I tell myself it’s all in my head, but the prickle on the back of my neck feels like a warning. Then the anonymous messages land in my inbox: I’m watchingI’ve been waiting for you.

I want to feel safe, surrounded by my closest friends. But everyone has something to hide and it’s impossible to know who I can trust.

When my friend Esme goes missing, her phone ringing through to voicemail, it feels like the past is about to repeat itself.

Someone won’t let me forget what really happened that night. What I promised. How I escaped. If the truth comes out, I only hope they can forgive me... I can’t make the same mistake again. I have to keep us all safe. What if, this time, I’m not so lucky?

An addictive, nail-biting psychological thriller, The Lucky One will have you sleeping with the light on. Fans of Stillhouse LakeThe Girl on the Train and Gillian Flynn will be totally hooked!

Heidi Lynn’s Book Reviews

First, I want to thank Jessica Payne, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

Jessica Payne’s The Lucky One is a storyline creatively written totally outside of the box! One aspect that made it so fascinating is she made the female lead character with a past become an MMA Fighter. Never have I read of a female lead with this occupation so that was very unique.

Instantly, Jessica pulls on your heart strings with the news that Norah’s father has passed.

My favorite storyline within the whole book was the true crime book Norah was a part of with Guy Stevenson. Ironically enough it would have been a book that if it were real I would be interested in reading it. This storyline was oh so twisted and full of secrets and shocking revelations.

 The Santa Killer

The Santa Killer is coming to town…

One night less than two weeks before Christmas, a single mother is violently assaulted. It’s a brutal crime at the time of year when there should be goodwill to all. When DI Barton begins his investigation, he’s surprised to find the victim is a woman with nothing to hide and no reason for anyone to hurt her.

A few days later, the mother of the woman attacked rings the police station. Her granddaughter has drawn a shocking picture. It seems she was looking out of the window when her mother was attacked. And when her grandmother asks the young girl who the person with the weapon is, she whispers two words.

Bad Santa.

The rumours start spreading, and none of the city’s women feel safe - which one of them will be next?

He’s got a list. It’s quite precise. It won’t matter even if you’re nice.
