Riley loves spending time with her grandparents, but after visiting them one day, she notices Grandma doesn't recognize her. Mommy explains that Grandma may have dementia, so her memory isn't as good as it used to be. Riley tries her best to help Grandma remember and writes about their time together in her diary.
This uplifting and touching story encourages young readers to support and care for the elderly with love, patience and understanding. Written as a series of diary entries, Grandma, It’s Me! also encourages journaling as a way to process emotions and feelings in order to become resilient to face life’s many challenges.

First, I want to thank Y. Y. Chan and Pearly L for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
WOW!!! Y.Y. Chan and Pearly L’s Children’s Book Grandma, It’s Me is an incredibly sweet, touching, beautifully well written and educational book about Dementia. Not to mention Pearly is an incredible artist capturing each page with her fun and colorful pictures. I highly suggest this book for any child or adult who is suffering from Dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Instantly, Y.Y. Chan pulled on my heart strings for she dedicated this book to her late Grandma. I could not help but to smile at the fun picture Grandma and young Y.Y. Smiling, Singing, and Dancing! I have no doubt she is having fun with the Angels in Heaven.
Teresa B.K.Tsien, Gerontologist Hong Kong Alzheimer’s Disease Association Board Member wrote a beautiful forward giving us an inside look into Dementia and why Y.Y. Wrote about it.
There was one scene where I could not stop laughing! I could not picture anything like that physically happening to someone! I think the kids and their parents would both get a kick out of it.
There are so many great messages within these pages.
Y.Y. Thought of everything when she wrote this book! At the end of the story she gives some very informative and educational information on Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
